Owen Brown's funeral in 1889. He's the passenger...
Colorado Blvd in Old Town. People moving and shaking?
Opening of the school house on Colorado
Colorado and Fair Oaks. It was a hardware store and All Saints Episcopal Church met up stairs when it was forming at one time.
The location is Central School, which was built in 1878 at the corner of Colorado and Fair Oaks. I'm not sure of the event, though. Though Paul is correct about the year, the funeral of Owen Brown was said to be held at a church (though I'm not sure which one) and 2000 people attended. This looks like a smaller crowd. Can't find a citation for this link:http://tchester.org/sgm/msc/brown_funeral_notice.html
There are two men on a podium before the crowd. It looks like one of them holds something--a paper, maybe? Is someone giving a speech?
Don't know what's going on, but it's fascinating to see this old photo of Pasadena.
Looks like the school house.
